Reflexolgy
Reflexology is related to many ancient forms of foot centered healing and massage techniques. Each part of the foot has been found to correspond to different parts of the body. The left foot corresponds to the left side of the body and the right foot, to the right side of the body. The feet represent the body, with the head being located at the big toe and the lower body around the heel and ankle.
Reflexology works by stimulating and working on specific points of the foot which send messages via the nerves to the specific area of the body. Reflexology encourages balance , energy flow and regularity.

What is it best for?
Reflexology is a safe practice suitable for all ages, type of people, men and women with a variety of presenting conditions. Most common symptoms treated are for stress, shoulder, neck and back problems. Much success can be achieved with these symptoms as well as a large body of conditions including depression, bereavement, anxiety, arthritis, eczema, IBS, edema, painful/irregular periods, migraines, infertility, sciatica, insomnia and many more.

Results
Although the occasional one off treatment is beneficial and relaxing, regular ongoing treatments (for example, once a week,) can result in significant help. Reflexology however, cannot 'cure' an illness, but can help alleviate associated symptoms. It is a complimentary therapy and therefore a healthy lifestyle is part of the healing process.
