PIRILAMPOS CHARITY
About 3 miles outside Albufeira is the Pirilampos Children’s Home, run by the Sta Casa da Misericordia de Albufeira, which houses 20 children. The home accepts both boys and girls so brothers and sisters can stay together.
Money raised for the charity will go to the Amigos das Crianças bank account, which was set up by Mrs Helena Serra, the Head of the Sta Casa da Misericordia de Albufeira, and Mrs Peta Birch in 1995.The Amigos help the Sta Casa with repairs, improvements, clothing, bedding, dental and optician expenses, trips and outings.

SIS - Service in Satchidananda
SIS is a non-profit international collective of charities established in honor of H. H. Sri Swami Satchidananda and based on his core teaching of selfless service. Service in Satchidananda (SIS), founded by Nalanie Chellaram http://www.sisproject.org/Nalanie_Chellaram.html exists to serve children and families in need through various seva (selfless service) projects. Children are our future and were so dear to the heart of Sri Gurudev. Currently, SIS works with charities in Spain, Gibraltar, India and Nepal.
